And now to the terrace:

To the left is the area Coggeshall "converted" from a flat wall to an exterior patio.

It is indeed a flat wall. The photo below show where the marking tapes fall on the stone corner return and the ledge.

Trompe l'oeil at its best!

Note the ledge below:

The edge of the thin coping stone actually has a real raised surface. Coggeshall applied a small amount of plaster right on the vertical edge of the stone. It has an astonishing effect of realism to the viewer.

The completed work. is so realistic that you feel you could walk out to move the plant into the sunlight!
