Douglas Coggeshall - Chicago Area Artist

The ceiling was solid, flat white plaster at the start.

Coggeshall first painted in the "wood trim".

Then he returned to paint the "iron work", a replica of old metalwork he had sketched earlier.

Coggeshall frequently uses real wrougt iron work for his models.

The client asked Coggeshall to add the hawk.

The work surrounds a light fixture with a fan.

The fan blades, removed while the art work was added, were reattached when the project was competed.
