Mural Work Example

Trompe-l'oeil; (pronounced: tromp-loy): This is an old-world technique, that uses hyper-extended perspective and painted shadows to create 'fool-the-eye' illusions of three dimension on a flat surface.
Murals: A masterful technique using a wide variety of applied methods creating a true art piece that reflects each client's personal tastes and environment..

Wood Graining

Wood graining: This technique involves a series of transparent glazes like marbleizing, yet the goal is to recreate the appearance of wood. Any kind of wood can be simulated often achieving an illusion difficult to believe painted.

Gilding

Gilding: The methods of this ancient technique haven't changed much since the Egyptians. It is a process of gluing pressed metals onto a surface creating the illusion of a solid precious metal object or ornamental carving. Gold, silver, copper or even patina stained metals can be used.

Marbleizing

Marbleizing: Multiple layers of distressed glazes building color upon color to create the illusion of a marbled surface. Using a piece of marble as a guide, Coggeshall Artistry can nearly duplicate the original stone pattern and color, or create a fantasy marble just for your needs

Stone and Broken Parchment

Faux stone work is a Coggeshall speciality. He also has an aging process he terms "Broken Parchment". His brick walls are especially realistic as are the tile flooring: The work is unusually natural in appearance.
